Songs

Here is my new Christmas song and Video.
“I Woke Up In A Christmas Card”
You can get it on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

I have dabbled in songwriting for many years. I co-wrote several songs with well-known Canadian singer-songwriter, Terry Kelly. One of our creations, TIES THAT BIND, written with Terry and Floyd King, was undertaken to raise money for the completion of the Encyclopedia of Newfoundland and Labrador, by Joey Smallwood. It was performed by Terry, live during the installation of Canada’s Governor-General, David Johnston. That same song was recorded and performed by several choirs, and was the show-closer every night when the Bluenose took musical artist down the US east coast to promote Nova Scotia tourism.

We also co-wrote a novelty song to promote tourism in Kengsington, PEI.

I have co-written many songs with Jim Henman – one of the founding members of April Wine. Jim and I co-wrote and produced a CD, MORE THAN MY SHARE in 1992. That album featured the vocals of Jeannie Beks. It was our first project together and the album played across Canada on many FM radio stations.

Here are a few snippets from the album

Do You Remember The Night?
A song I wrote with Jim Henman, for Maxine MacLeod’s 1997 Album, “Love This Deep”.

Made of Paper … a song I wrote many years ago, about my brothers.

Over the next few years, I will be recording 6 children’s songs I wrote when our kids were little. Currently, only two are available as ‘add-ons’ to my books, A DINOSAUR LIVES NEXT DOOR, and I WISH I LIVED IN A TREEHOUSE.
